SHOE4AFRICA EDUCATION PROJECT

Please bear with us as we develop this site; under construction.

In a nutshell we are concentrating on the Rift Valley area of Kenya.

In 2011 we opened our first public school Shoe4Africa Martin Lel at Kimn'geru, Nandi. Location [LINK]

The second school was Shoe4Africa Janeth Jepkosgei (Kapsumbeiywo, Nandi) Location [LINK].

The third was Shoe4africa Moses Kiptanui, at Kamoi location, Kakisonga sub location, Kaborowa village.

The fourth was the Shoe4Africa Sally Kipyego at Kaptiony, near Tugoin, TransNzoi. Location [LINK]

Already we have seen attendance increase, medium scores and top scores increase and schools becoming 'village centers' with more hours spent in the classroom

Laptops have been given to three of the schools, and NOOKs also to one school as we look at new ways to improve learning.

Two of the schools have been completely renovated from existing premises, and two are new esatblishments. Furthermore we have built new classrooms at Kibugat, Nandi. Location [LINK]

Furthermore we have a program assisting needy children with school fees.

Combining health projects we built new toilets for a school just outside of Eldoret. The school is at Cheseret, Lotonyok Sub Location

The fifth school project is right now in the pipeline... about to begin.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:  Donations can build toilets, classrooms, an admin block, a school.  Or even school supplies can help.  We are also looking at school twinning; partnering with a school that could help as a 'sister' school.

An example - to the left (below) you can see old classrooms, and to the right the brand new classrooms at School #4
