Marco sends the backpacks

Planning the upcoming projects for Kenya took another happy turn when I got an email from Marco Lui, "I have found someone who wants to donate 20-backpacks, can you use them?"

Fantastic, so Marco sent them to America and I will take them to Kenya and give them out to twenty achievers at the Janeth Jepkosgei school.  You never know when you do something like this what the impact can be; for someone who owns very little, who maybe wears one dress from Monday to Monday, and who owns one pair of shoes... something to show that some unknown person on the otherside of the world cares about you can be a life changing event.  In the 'excess-world' of the West we often forget, but I am always reminded of the many sad stories that are also happy ones... like once I gave a pair of running shoes to a lady about the age of 22.  She cried, I thought it was because she thought the shoes were going to not last, or something, but she was crying because never before had anyone given her any present in her whole life.. up to the age of 22... imagine a pair of used shoes brought her to tears.  So as I set off to Kenya I say a big thank you to Stacey Kelly's, to the Marco Lui's, Mason Haupt, Tom Bedford & the people of the London Marathon, to the IMAN's...because even though you are not there seeing the fruits of your goodness you are truly making us cry who are there to see it...
