Make Change

A T-Shirt hand out at the Destiny Church, Kenya, in August.

Often in the emails people ask, 'How can I help?' or 'Can I get more involved?'  The answer is Yes, and right now we could do with your help in a few ways;

1.  Go to facebook, like this page [link] then look at the projects (we are currently on PAGE TWO) and "like" our Hospital Project.  That is it; takes two minutes to do this.  If, if, we get in the top five then we could be shortlisted to win a pick up truck for Shoe4Africa!  I know, it takes a couple of clicks, but if you want to help us, really, this is an easy way.

2. Cash gets it done.  There are 1.2 million charities in the USA and many, many of them doing wonderful things.  Your Dollar is torn in many ways.  Why donate money to us, and does it make a difference?  Yes, yes - we are the living proof that your dollars add up; we began with three donors of a total of $700.  Today we have $1.7-million BEYOND the impact that we have made.  That is because 7,000 odd people have stepped up and put something in the pot.  Individuals and small foundations; so every dollar counts.

3. Of course our shoe program where we encourage you to send a few pairs, one or two is just great.  We don't dump shoes in a country, we hold events, let people earn them so they go home holding the shoes high as they would a prize.

4. Invest in change.  We now have funding for our fifth school, even though we are building three and four right now.  It is a great feeling to know we are changing education in Kenya.  Schools also need outhouses, it would be nice to have things like a 'Music-Library' where we give access to musical instruments, and any ideas of how you think our schools could get better... please let us know.

There are many ways, but is starts with doing something, like most things in life.  So please act to make change... and together we can do it; we'll be that change.
